The 23rd matchday of Ligue 1 continues with this clash between Paris Saint-Germain and FC Metz on Saturday. at the Parc des Princes. The Parisians cannot afford to take their foot off the gas, as RC Lens continues to rack up wins. Before the start of this new matchday, the club from the French capital is in second place in the standings, just one point behind Lens. Luis Enrique's team will try to make the most of its status in a match sandwiched between its two Champions League playoff games.

FC Metz is in serious danger at the start of the second half of the season. It will struggle to remain in the top flight of French sovver. Les Grenats are bottom of the table and already four points behind AJ Auxerre (16th), who are in the relegation play-off spot. With a string of unsuccessful matches behind them, Benoît Tavenot's men will find it difficult to get back on track after this clash of extremes.
