Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique de Marseille are already facing each other for the third time this season! This time, the two rivals will clash in Ligue 1's 21st matchday this Sunday at the Parc des Princes. In the midst of a battle for the league title with RC Lens, the capital club cannot afford to make any mistakes. Even though they were shaken by Marseille in the first leg and in the Trophée des Champions, they will now be playing in front of their fans. This is a major advantage for Luis Enrique's team!
After a difficult period and elimination from the Champions League group stage, OM had something to smile about in midweek. With an easy 3-0 win over Stade Rennais, Marseille booked their place in the quarterfinals of the Coupe de France.

PSG - Marseille: Form Analysis
PSG will soon have to start picking up the pace this season. So far, they are nowhere near as dominant as they were last season. After being knocked out of the Coupe de France early on, the Parisian club also failed to qualify directly for the Champions League round of 16. They will now have to go through the play-offs.
The team coached by Luis Enrique is doing better in Ligue 1, having won its last six games. Even though it is in the lead, the title is still far from certain. Before the start of this matchday, it is only two points ahead of RC Lens (2nd). The Parisian club must therefore live up to its status on Sunday evening.
PSG has won its last six Ligue 1 games.
For their part, Marseille is capable of both the worst and the best this season. It was able to compete with PSG, beating them in the first leg at the Stade Vélodrome (1-0) and only succumbing in a penalty shootout in the Trophée des Champions. At the moment, however, the Marseille club is not at its best.
They were knocked out of the Champions League group stage after a heavy defeat against Club Brugge (3-0) and was held to a draw on the last day of Ligue 1 by Paris FC, despite a 2-goal lead (2-2). Currently third in the French league, Marseille has regained some confidence by giving Stade Rennais no chance in the round of 16 of the Coupe de France (3-0). However, it will not be easy to follow up with a win in Le Classique!

PSG & Marseille Squad Analysis
Last weekend, PSG received some very bad news. After being sent off against RC Strasbourg, Achraf Hakimi is suspended for this Classique. He is unlikely to be the only absentee, as Fabian Ruiz and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia are also doubtful. Quentin Ndjantou could make his return to the squad. Preferred to Lucas Chevalier since his return from injury, Matveï Safonov could continue in goal for the Parisians.
In the absence of the usual starter at right-back, Warren Zaïre-Emery could take his place. He has already filled in very well in this position. Joao Neves and Vitinha will be looking to shine in midfield. Up front, Désiré Doué and Ousmane Dembélé need to regain some confidence.
PSG will have to cope with Achraf Hakimi's suspension for this Classique.
As for Marseille, Nayef Aguerd is uncertain, having not played against Stade Rennais midweek. Otherwise, Roberto De Zerbi should be very relaxed. Far from reassuring at the moment, Geronimo Rulli will face a big test in goal for Marseille. He will have to be at his very best at the Parc des Princes.
In midfield, Quinten Timber has quickly won over the fans since he arrived in the winter transfer window, as has Ethan Nwaneri. Himad Abdelli also joined OM this winter, but has yet to make his debut. Marseille also have offensive weapons to shake up the Parisian defense. In addition to Igor Paixao and Amine Gouiri, Mason Greenwood is in fine form. He is the top scorer in Ligue 1 with 13 goals.

Our PSG vs Marseille Prediction
We agree that OM stood up to PSG in the first leg of Ligue 1 and in the Champions Trophy. But it won't be the same story this Sunday. Not only are they not in great form, but this time Marseille will be playing at the Parc des Princes. The Parisians are unbeatable when they play at home. In what promises to be an exciting match, Luis Enrique's men will have another opportunity to prove it on Sunday evening.
Our prediction for PSG vs. OM: PSG to win & over 2.5 goals in the match!
