On Sunday, two of the best international teams in world soccer will clash in the German capital of Munich. At Allianz Arena, it's the Iberian derby between Portugal and Spain, who will meet in the final of the UEFA Nations League, with both bidding to secure this title for the second time.
Spain, as the second-highest ranking team according to FIFA, were always expected to make the last two, and live up to expectations they did, beating France by what was probably a more comfortable margin than the scoreline would have us believe. Portugal's presence in this UEFA Nations League final was slightly less expected, especially as they delivered an underwhelming effort at the European Championships last summer, but Roberto Martinez's men showed just what they're capable of by coming from behind to beat Germany in the semis on Wednesday evening, so if the Spanish think they're going to be in for an easy time on Sunday, they should probably think again. An intriguing match awaits.

Portugal - Spain: Form Analysis
Ever since exiting EURO 2024 at the hands of the French a year ago, this Portuguese team has really tightened up, losing just one out of nine games, while they've only conceded more than once in one of those nine games. Roberto Martinez's men have won five of their nine games since the European Championships, and that win against the Germans on Wednesday night will surely have filled the men nicknamed A Seleção das Quinas with confidence ahead of what is their toughest test in some time.
For Spain, under Luis de la Fuente, things have gone swimmingly. Having been the best team at the European Championships last summer, beating England in the final, La Roja have stepped on the gas, winning seven out of nine, scoring a tremendous amount of goals. Since EURO 2024 ended, the Spaniards have scored three or more goals in five out of nine games, while they showed just how dangerous they can be by hammering home five goals against France in Thursday's semi-final.

Portugal & Spain Squad Analysis
Having turned to the bench to get Portugal back in the game against Germany last time out, Roberto Martine may shuffle the pack on Sunday. Forward/winger Trincao failed to really get into the game against the Germans and may be replaced by Francisco Conceição, who scored after entering the field as a substitute in the last game. PSG midfield maestro Vitinha also helped his team from the bench and is now likely to return to the starting XI.
PSG midfield maestro Vitinha also helped his team from the bench and is now likely to return to the starting XI.
For the Spain, the team is likely to remain largely the same. A front three of Lamine Yamal, Mikel Oyarzabal and Nico Williams, proved to be very effective against France, so there shouldn't be any change there. Robin Le Normand appreared to signal to the bench before being substituted on Thursday, so there could be a change at the back. Dani Vivian would be the most likely replacement for the central defender.

Portugal vs Spain - Other Interesting Picks
Pedro Neto Over 0.5 Shots on Target
Pedro Neto failed to register a shot on target against the Germans, but he did look threatening on the break, firing off two shots in the first half, so it really wouldn't be too surprising if the winger/forward got into shooting areas against a Spain side that will leave plenty of space in behind, a Spain team that conceded 24 shots and nine shots on target on Thursday. In the Nations League this season, Neto also averages 1.06 shots on target per 90 minutes. That stat makes odds of +138 look a little generous.
