Two teams that lost in the early stages of the 2025 MLS playoffs put that behind them and meet when the Timbers face Columbus Crew at Jeld-Wen Field for Matchday 1.

Last year, the Timbers had a fairly average MLS campaign: 11 wins, 11 losses, and 12 draws, finishing eighth in the standings. The attacking duo of Antony and Kevin Kelsy was key, each contributing seven goals.
