The Pittsburgh Steelers (10-3 SU, 10-3 ATS) visit the Philadelphia Eagles (11-2 SU, 8-5 ATS) in a rare matchup of the Keystone State teams. The squads only play once every four years, and the smart money has been to take the home team every time. The Steelers haven’t won in Philadelphia since 1965, during which time, the Eagles built Veterans Stadium, blew it up and opened Lincoln Financial Field, winning 10 straight games at home over Pittsburgh.
Both teams coming in showing signs of the pressure. Pittsburgh has to worry about holding off Baltimore, which is still in the mix for the AFC North title and hosts the Steelers next week. The Eagles also try to wrap up their division next week, but they have a healthy lead on Washington. Their concern is more with trying to catch Detroit, with this week representing their best chance to gain ground on the Lions.

Philadelphia seems to be the stronger of the two teams. Pittsburgh seems to have made its living mostly off of a weak AFC North and a below-average schedule elsewhere. The Steelers were gifted games against the Jets and Raiders, as well as the Giants, and they’ve had an easy time with the dreck of the NFL.
Philadelphia has had to face a more challenging slate that included Tampa Bay, Green Bay, Los Angeles and Atlanta. All of those teams will at least have a chance at the postseason, and the Eagles only carry losses to the Buccaneers and Falcons. Philadelphia has not lost since Week 4, and the Eagles have mostly won with their defense. With the Steelers not having proven themselves yet, our prediction for Pittsburgh vs. Philadelphia is Eagles -5.5.
