Next Wednesday, a doubleheader will take place between the Pittsburgh Pirates and the New York Yankees due to the bad weather conditions that forced the MLB to postpone the second game of the series. With that in mind, the third game of the series is expected to be an intriguing matchup, given the mental and physical exposure both teams’ batters will face.

In this regard, even though the odds are currently favoring the Yankees to win this game, it cannot be ignored that Max Fried has been announced as the starting pitcher after his recovery from a left elbow injury. Considering this, it should be noted that Fried’s last three starts occurred in May, during which he allowed 3 or more runs per game against the Orioles and the Brewers.
