Chicago Fire’s season was more erratic. The Fire spent much of the year around the playoff line and ultimately qualified as an Eastern Conference Wild Card. Chicago’s results swung between highs and lows: they secured draws on Decision Day (2-2 at New England, 2-2 vs Toronto) and won their Wild Card playoff match 3-1, but also suffered lopsided defeats such as the 4-0 loss at Philadelphia and a 3-0 home loss to Minnesota.
