The Carolina Hurricanes attempt to extend their postseason winning streak to six games on Monday against the Philadelphia Flyers at the Lenovo Center.
The Hurricanes have looked like the best team in the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs, going undefeated through five games. They have won most of the games comfortably, giving up just five goals. In Game 1 of the second-round series against Philadelphia, Carolina recorded its second shutout of this postseason.
Frederik Andersen has elevated his game in the Hurricanes’ crease after going the entire regular season without registering a single shutout. Having matched Cam Ward’s franchise record with four postseason shutouts, Andersen can make the record his own on Monday night.
Offensively, it’s been the Logan Stankoven show. He has become the first player in Hurricanes history to record a five-game goal streak in the playoffs.
The Flyers did a great job defensively against Pittsburgh in their opening-round matchup, but they face a much tougher challenge in Round 2. Carolina can roll out four solid lines, and its defensive depth was on show in Game 1 against Philadelphia -- Mike Reilly replaced Alexander Nikishin on the blue line and contributed two assists during his 2026 postseason debut.
