The Penn State Nittany Lions (10-12, 1-10 Big Ten) will try to make it two in a row in conference play when they take on the No. 2 Michigan Wolverines (20-1, 10-1 Big Ten) at the Crisler Center in Ann Arbor today. Fans can follow the action on FS1 once the game gets underway at 6:30 p.m.EST.
Penn State got the season off to a nice start with five consecutive wins, but once the competition started to improve, things went south fast, as they lost their first ten Big Ten games. It certainly hasn’t helped that the Big Ten is stacked with ranked teams this season. They finally finished a conference game on the right side of the scoreboard last Sunday when they took down Minnesota at home, 77-75. As for the Wolverines, Michigan suffered its first loss of the season on January 10, when they lost 91-88 vs. Wisconsin, a home game in which they were 19.5-point favorites. The Wolverines have rebounded nicely since then, winning six in a row, including two against top-10 teams. They have not played since last Friday, when they beat No. 7 Michigan State, 83-71, on the road.

Our Michigan Wolverines vs Penn State Nittany Lions Prediction
Michigan is by far the better team of the two, but covering a 24.5-point spread is no easy task, and on the road at that. They failed to cover in the January 6 home game, and the spread was only 19.5 points. With Penn State coming off its first conference win of the season, the Nittany Lions could bring some extra confidence and bravado into this matchup. After all, they only lost by two to Michigan a few weeks ago. The Wolverines are coming off a pair of challenging games and may not be up for blowing out an opponent they should easily beat.
