Former Wimbledon Open champion Marketa Vondrousova aims to ride her terrific form into the semifinal of the Berlin Ladies Open, facing two-time Wimbledon Open finalist Ons Jabeur of Turkey in Friday’s quarterfinal match.
Vondrousova captured her fourth grass-court win this year after edging Diana Shnaider of Russia 6-3 6-7(3) 6-3 in the second round. Vondrousova, who ruled the ladies’ singles tournament at the All-England Club in 2023, got the better of Shnaider by winning 36 points on her first serves and 19 on the second. She also broke Shnaider 8 times while winning 56 return points.
Jabeur blasted Jasmine Paolini 6-1, 6-3, avenging her loss to the Italian over five weeks ago at the Italian Open. Fit and healthy after dealing with several injuries during her clay-court run, the Turk came out of the gates swinging, winning all her serves while breaking Paolini four times in the match. Jabeur improved her 2025 grass-court record to 3-1 as she entered the quarterfinal of the Berlin Ladies Open as the only lucky loser entry.

Our Ons Jabeur vs Marketa Vondrousova Prediction
Why should you bet on Ons Jabeur to win (Win $100 on a $110 Bet) – Friday’s quarterfinal match in Berlin will serve as the rematch of the 2023 Wimbledon Open final won by Vondrousova 6-4, 6-4. After going through a lengthy rehabilitation, Marketa is looking more and more like a contender for this year’s Wimbledon Open as she eliminated two terrific foes in Australian Open champion Madison Keys 7-5 7-6(6) and Russian rising star Diana Shnaider 6-3 6-7(3) 6-3. However, Jabeur has also been on a roll this week, with wins over Caroline Dolehide 7-6(5), 6-1 and Jasmine Paolini 6-1, 6-3. Their head-to-head series is tied 4-4, so I expect another all-out slugfest between these two excellent grass-court players. This match could go either way, but I feel Jabeur’s emphatic win over the top-10 caliber Paolini sends a strong message that Turk is back and ready to make a deep run again this time of the year.
Our betting prediction for Ons Jabeur vs. Marketa Vondrousova: Ons Jabeur will win.
