The second round of the NBA playoffs will continue on Saturday with two Game 3s scheduled to be played. One of these games will be in the Western Conference and will see the Los Angeles Lakers take on the Oklahoma City Thunder.
As expected, the Oklahoma City Thunder easily won the first two games of this series, both of which were at home. The Thunder won these games by an average margin of 18 points per game. Oklahoma City was highly efficient in these two games as well, averaging 116.5 points per game. So, while this series is now heading to Los Angeles, the Lakers have yet to show they can slow down the Thunder, which suggests that they could continue to dominate.
The Lakers, on the other hand, have looked overmatched from the time this series started. Los Angeles has really started to feel the effect of Luka Doncic being out, as their role players have simply not done enough. Even with this game being at home, the Lakers look likely to struggle against the Thunder, who are clearly the favorite to win the NBA Finals.
