The Ohio State Buckeyes (21-11, 12-8 Big Ten) will meet their hated rival, the No. 3 Michigan Wolverines (29-2, 19-1 Big Ten), in the quarterfinal round of the Big Ten Conference Tournament in Indianapolis, IN, today. Fans can follow the action on the Big Ten Network once the game gets underway at 12 p.m. EST.
This will be the third meeting of the season between these two longtime rivals. In the first (Jan. 23), Ohio State was competitive in the first half and was down just three points at the break, 33-30. But the Wolverines made a few adjustments at the break and played better in the second half, 41-32, en route to a 74-62 win. As for the second game, it wasn’t nearly as competitive. Michigan controlled the first half and took a ten-point lead into the break. In the second half, they picked up where they left off and beat the Buckeyes 38-27 in the half for an 82-61 win.
Ohio State beat Iowa in a close, 72-69, game in the second round to earn a shot at the Wolverines in the quarterfinal. Michigan last played on March 8 in its regular-season finale, beating Michigan State 90-80.
