After the Dodgers were thrashed by Jacob Wilson, who hit two two-run homers in the A's 11-1 rout of the Dodgers, and after Yamamoto started for the Dodgers in Game 2, the Athletics and Dodgers will close out the series on Thursday, with the pitching duel between Bido for the Athletics and Dustin May for the Dodgers.
In road underdog betting, the good-hitting Athletics have a solid 6-7 record in those betting matches. Of course, May is the weakest link in the defending champions' starting rotation. May has an ERA of 4.08 this season. In his second-to-last start, May allowed two HRs and four ERs against the Braves on May 4. He then posted a quality outing against the D-backs but ended up earning the L in the desert.
Recently the Dodgers seem to be either scoring a lot of runs or a few with no middle ground.
