Norway and Finland will both be looking to make it two wins from two games, when they meet up in a crucial Euro 2025 Group A fixture on Sunday evening. Finland opened the tournament with a fully deserved 0-1 victory over Iceland. After dominating the majority of the game, Finland eventually took the lead through a fine Saara Kosola strike in the 70th minute. They had chances to extend their lead in the final 20 minutes, but in the end coach Marko Saloranta will have been delighted with three points and a solid opening display.
Norway were anything but solid in their somewhat fortuitous 2-1 victory over hosts Switzerland. After deservedly falling behind in the first half, they improved slightly after the break and turned the game around thanks to an Ada Hegerberg header and an own goal from Swiss defender Julia Stierli. However, the Norwegians will need to produce much better performances if they want to make a deep run at the tournament.
