While not the most popular game on the Week 1 college football Saturday slate, another interesting matchup will see the Northwestern Wildcats, out of the Big Ten, take on the Tulane Green Wave, out of the American Conference. Let’s take a look at the match statistics and predictions for this game between the Wildcats and Green Wave.
Northwestern enters this game coming off another terrible season, as they finished 4-8 in 2024-2025 and 2-7 in the Big Ten. The Wildcats ended last season losing three games in a row and were 2-3 on the road over five games. Northwestern has had a losing record in three of its last four seasons, so starting this season against Tulane could spell trouble right away.
As for Tulane, they finished the 2024-2025 season with a record of 9-5 and 7-1 in the American Conference. The Green Wave made an appearance in the American Championship, but lost to Army before losing to Florida in the Gasparilla Bowl.
