The Duke Blue Devils will try to make it to the Elite Eight for the first time since the 2013 season with a win over their long-time rivals, the North Carolina Tar Heels. Tipoff for this ACC-SEC battle is scheduled for Friday, March 28, at 2:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ESPN.
Duke basically had a glorified practice session in their first-round matchup, easily defeating Lehigh 86-25. However, Oregon put up much more of a fight in the second round. It was a defensive battle that saw Oregon take a 28-23 lead into the break. But the Blue Devils made the necessary adjustments at halftime, outscoring the Ducks 36-25 to win by six, 59-53. North Carolina’s journey to the Sweet 16 was similar. They dispatched Oregon State 70-49 in the first. In the second round, they held a one-point lead over West Virginia at the break, 24-23. Second half adjustments gave their offense a spark as they outscored WVU 34-24 in the second half en route to a 58-47 victory.
As conference rivals, they have already played twice this season. North Carolina won the first (Jan. 9) 53-46 in overtime. Duke won the second meeting 68-53. They each won on their home court.

Our Duke Blue Devils vs North Carolina Tar Heels Prediction
The general consensus from what I could find on the internet is that this game will be a close one, but that either team could win; just as many analysts I found picked Duke as North Carolina. But from a betting perspective, we don’t necessarily need to pick a winner here (which would basically give you a 50/50 shot at winning). Regardless of who they picked as the winner, most analysts predicted a relatively low score, which I agree wth 100 percent. Take the UNDER.
Our North Carolina vs. Duke Pick: UNDER 124.5
