Vegas is one of the better teams in the Pacific division with 45 points, but they’ve been struggling lately. They come into this on a three-game losing streak after their latest game, a 4-2 loss to the Nashville Predators. Prior to their last win (7-2 vs. San Jose on December 23), they had lost three in a row. The Golden Knights have played well at times this season and recorded wins over some of the NHL’s best teams, but they have not been able to get it together lately; since December 17, they’ve been outscored 29-23. As for the Blues, St. Louis has been trying to reach .500 on the season but has not been able to make up ground, with six losses in their last ten games, including their last two (4-2 vs. Buffalo and 6-1 vs. Colorado).
