The New York Jets (0-1 SU, 0-1 ATS) visit the Tennessee Titans (0-1 SU, 0-1 ATS) in a matchup of teams who really weren’t pleased with their performances in Week 1. Tennessee played well enough to win on one side of the ball, but the Titans gave the game away with poor quarterbacking and special teams mistakes, allowing Chicago to emerge victorious.
New York, for all of its offseason bluster about how this year was going to be different, looked like it was making the same mistakes again. Aaron Rodgers was supposed to be the missing piece for the Jets, but he looked only average against San Francisco and the Jets still had no running game. Things might not get better against a Titans defense that didn’t allow a touchdown and gave up just 148 yards of offense in the opening week.

Our Tennessee Titans vs New York Jets Prediction
The pressure is entirely on the visitors here, as they’re the team that had high expectations going into the season. Absolutely nobody expected Tennessee to do much in a rugged AFC South, but the Jets were supposed to have a shot to win the wide-open AFC East. A second straight loss would put New York in a deep hole, with Buffalo off to a strong start.
That said, Tennessee’s defense played outstanding football last week, and Rodgers has yet to show that he’s really back to his pre-injury levels. Rodgers turned 40 in December and has now been in the league for 20 years, and his body might not have many miles left in it. The Titans have also been extremely difficult to blow out in Nashville, as they’ve won six of nine and the other three were all by three points. With the line where it is, our prediction for New York vs. Tennessee is Titans +4.
