Minnesota Vikings vs New York Jets Prediction & Picks - NFL

Arguably one of the biggest surprises of this short season has been the Minnesota Vikings. After losing starting rookie QB, JJ McCarthy, for the season during the preseason; many expected the Vikings to struggle to this point. However, Sam Darnold has stepped into the role and excelled to lead the Vikings to a perfect 4-0 record. He has them ranked 4th in the league with 29ppg. They are also 4th in the league in points allowed per game (14.8ppg). On top of that, they lead the league in both sacks and interceptions. Their latest game was a 31-29 win over their rival Green Bay Packers where they could hold off the Packers from mounting a comeback after leading 28-0. After their initial loss, the Jets seemed to have things figured out by winning back-to-back games over Tennessee and New England. Unfortunately, they could not get their offense together against the Broncos and lost last week 10-9. They finished with just 64 rushing yards and were an atrocious 4/17 on 3rd downs. Star wideout Garrett Wilson has yet to go over 60 yards receiving in a game and only scored once this season. Rumors are swirling that Davante Adams could be in the crosshairs of the Jets front office after it was announced that the Raiders would be fielding offers for the receiver. While that will not factor into this game, it is interesting that they are looking to bolster their skill position due to the lack of talent production.
