Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets will try to make it two in a row this weekend when they head to Florida to take on the Jaguars at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville. The game is part of the 1 p.m. ET slate and will be broadcast on FOX.
When this game was announced, there was actually a little excitement surrounding it. It was set to feature two generational talents at quarterback: Aaron Rodgers and Trevor Lawrence. Expectations were high for both teams, so it had the potential for playoff implications. What fans will get instead is a meaningless contest between two 3-10 teams, one that fired its head coach weeks ago and the other whose quarterback is a former first-rounder on his second team in four seasons.
The buzz is certainly gone from this game, but that doesn't mean fans will not see any fireworks. If last week's 300+ yard effort is any indication, maybe Aaron Rodgers has finally found his mojo again. It should help that the Jaguars have one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL. But Rodgers and the Jets offense looked good before, only to disappoint fans a week later.
