The Seahawks will try to improve to 4-1 on the season with a win over the visiting New York Giants on Sunday at Lumen Field in Seattle (with kickoff scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS. Seattle opened as 3.5-point favorites, but the line has moved to -7 at most sportsbooks.

However, this game may not be as one-sided as the point spread makes it seem.

Yes, the Seahawks have a better record, and Geno Smith has been throwing dimes. But they have had rely on the throwing game because the run has not been too effective, and they’ve had to play catch-up against some of the league’s weaker/struggling teams. Okay, so the Giants haven’t looked great. They were curb-stomped by the Vikings (but who hasn’t been?). They lost a tight one to the Commanders (the best team in the NFC East). While the Cowboys are one of the more disappointing teams in the league this year, their defense (when healthy) is one of the league’s best.

A win for the Giants could be just the boost of confidence the G-Men need to get the season on track. But while the Seattle passing game has been on fire out of necessity, it has still been on fire. New York’s secondary will have its work cut out for it.
