The New York Giants (3-13 SU, 4-11-1 ATS) visit the Philadelphia Eagles (13-3 SU, 10-6 ATS) in a game that won’t help either team. The Eagles have literally nothing to play for, as they’re locked into the No. 2 seed and are waiting to see if they’ll face Washington or Green Bay next week. Philadelphia’s big concern is simply getting out of this game without any further injuries, which is why Saquon Barkley won’t make any attempt to go for history.
The Giants actually played well last week in beating the Colts, but they did a lot of damage to themselves in the process. New York was on track to secure the No. 1 overall pick before that Pyrrhic victory, and the Giants now need a lot of help to land their guy in April. Another strong effort could result in back-to-back victories, but the Giants have mostly played poorly since the start of October.

With Philadelphia already down to third-string quarterback Tanner McKee, don’t expect the Eagles to take any chances in this game. The Eagles don’t know for sure if they’ll have Jalen Hurts for the wild card round or if they’ll have to go with Kenny Pickett, but Pickett at least has playoff experience if Philadelphia has to turn his way. Philly wants no part of McKee making a start against Washington or Green Bay, so they’ll trust him in this game and hope one of their top two signal callers is available next week.
Drew Lock is going all-out for New York in this game. He’s on a one-year deal with the Giants and is looking to get a chance somewhere next season, so he’s got every incentive to put a good game on the film for his next employer. There’s also the possibility that Brian Daboll is coaching for his job. The Giants don’t want to fire him, but they might have no choice if the team gives a lack of effort again. With New York riding an 11-game losing streak in Philly, getting a win at Lincoln Financial Field would be a big point in Daboll’s favor, even if it’s meaningless. Our prediction for New York vs. Philadelphia is Giants +3.
