=14.0ptThe main story out of Atlanta this week is the abrupt release of former starting QB, Kirk Cousins. He led the team to a 7-7 mark on the year but the brass decided to move on to rookie Michael Penix and cut ties with Cousins. He did lead them to 15-9 win over the Raiders last week but that was to snap a 4-game losing streak. Penix inherits an offense that will have plenty of weapons at his disposal. Drake London at wideout and Kyle Pitts at tight end are going to be two of his main targets while Bijan Robinson will give him a boost in the backfield. Penix has ability to extend plays with his legs and throws a better deep ball which Atlanta hopes will put this team in a better position to make a miracle playoff push. They get the Giants this week, who have been abysmal all season. At 2-12, the Giants have lost 9 straight games and the fans are calling for the entire coaching staff to be fired. After the release of Daniel Jones, it has been inconsistency at QB and is averaging only 13ppg over their last 4 games. There really has been little to nothing to cheer for as a Giants fan this season.
