New York seems to be on an upward swing since the calendar flipped to November. The Isles had been on a three-game losing streak at the end of October, but they’ve since won three of four. They’ve also spent most of their time on the road, having played four of their past five away from Belmont.
Interestingly, home ice hasn’t really meant that much in this matchup. The Devils have actually won three of the past four matchups on Long Island, and the visiting team has won six of the past eight matchups. With the Islanders heating up, however, it’s probably not the best time to go for the visiting team over the high-scoring trend. Our prediction for New Jersey vs. New York is Over 6.5.
