The Tennessee Titans will try to get that elusive second win of the season on Sunday when they host the New England Patriots at Nissan Stadium in Nashville (kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. ET).
Expectations were low for the Titans coming into the 2024 season, but the team has barely been competitive. If the coaching staff was counting on Will Levis to take a step forward in his progression as an NFL quarterback, they haven’t seen it. His QB rating is just 70.7. To put that into perspective, Deshaun Watson, Aidan O’Connell, Jacoby Brissett, and Skylar Thompson have higher ratings. Surprisingly, the Titans have the No. 1 defense (total yards), but teams are still putting up 28 points per game on them. That could be because they have managed to force teams into just three turnovers (one interception, two fumbles) while turning it over 16 times (second most in the league).
However, they may get lucky this week. The Patriots offense has come to life when rookie Drake Maye is in the game. But Maye remains in the concussion protocol. New England is averaging just 15.5 points per game (No. 20). Tennessee isn’t doing much better at 17.1 ppg.
