The Nevada Wolfpack (16-12) hit the road to take on the UNLV Rebels (15-13) in a rematch from their contest back at the beginning of February. In that previous meeting, Nevada defended their homecourt and picked up a 71-65 win that narrowly covered the -5.5-point spread. Nevada had 4 scorers finish in double-digits but were led by Nick Davidson’s 14 points and 6 boards. With the game tied at 65 with just over a minute remaining, Xavier DuSell knocked down a 14-foot jump shot to take the lead they never relinquished. Recently, Nevada was able to avoid a losing streak by defeating Wyoming after suffering back-to-back losses to Colorado State and Boise State. For UNLV, they snapped a 5-game losing streak and have won 4 of their last 5 games. Their latest game was a 77-71 win over San Jose State where Jaden Henley put up 22 points and grabbed 5 boards and dished out 5 assists while picking up 4 steals as well. The Rebels are hoping that he can duplicate that performance here against the visiting Wolfpack to get revenge for their loss in the previous meeting. They will also need to play tougher defense as the Wolfpack is currently shooting over 48% from the field, which is good enough for 22nd in the country.
