Fresh off his first ATP 500 final, Learner Tien will attempt to keep his winning ways going as he battles Corentin Moutet of France in the second round of the 2025 Shanghai Masters.

Although Tien got obliterated by Jannik Sinner in the final 2-6, 2-6, Tien still had a promising tournament that could catapult him to greater heights in the future. By the way, Tien gutted out a 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 win over Miomir Kecmanovic in the first round to set up a duel with Moutet.
Moutet reached the second round in Shanghai with a straight-set victory over Tallon Griekspoor 6-4, 7-5. Moutet, 15-11 on the hard court, held all his serves and broke two times against the Dutch foe, which was enough to prevent the match from going the limit. Moutet was coming off a round-of-16 stint at the China Open, losing to Alexander Zverev in three sets 5-7, 6-3, 3-6.
