CF Monterrey will look to end their three-game winless run when they host Cruz Azul on Saturday night at Estadio BBVA. They failed to bounce back from their back-to-back league defeats against Leon and San Louis when they drew 0-0 with Tigres UANL last weekend. This was the second straight game that they’ve failed to score a goal after firing blanks against Toluca in their Leagues Cup Final defeat. They’ll look to get back on the scoresheet this weekend as the +133 favorites.
Cruz Azul, on the other side of the grass, are the +160 betting underdogs on Saturday. They’re the in-form side in this matchup, having won their last three league games. This impressive form has seen them take the fourth spot in the league standings with 15 points, only 4 points behind the table-topping Toluca. Cruz Azul will also want to bounce back from their disappointing 2-0 defeat against MLS side Inter Miami in the Campeones Cup.
