The No. 21 Missouri Tigers (22-10, 10-8) will take on the No. 4 Florida Gators (27-4, 14-4) tonight in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals starting at 7 p.m. ET with coverage via the SEC Network. Florida is an 8.5-point favorite, even though Missouri beat them in Gainesville.
With how Missouri limped down the stretch run of the regular season, going 1-4 in their last five, their 85-73 win over Mississippi State in the second round of the Tournament was a bit surprising. The Tigers led by five at the break and held the lead for much of the second half but didn’t pull away until the last minute and a half. Missouri outrebounded Mississippi State 43-35 (34-21 on the defensive boards). As for Florida, the Gators had a strong finish to the regular season with three consecutive wins: a 17-point win over Texas A&M, a 99-94 win over Alabama in Tuscaloosa, and a 21-point victory against Ole Miss. The game vs. Missouri was basically a tale of two halves, with the Tigers getting out to a 50-34 lead at the break. Florida made a valiant comeback effort in the second half (48-33) but fell short in the end (83-82).

But what we do know is this— this team can score some points, as can the Gators (both are top ten offenses in the nation, after all). If I were to pick a winner, I’d go with Missouri and the points; the last one was close, and we’ve seen several tight games this week. But we have two high-powered offenses in this game. The score will be high.
