The Mississippi State Bulldogs will take on the No. 21 Missouri Tigers tonight as part of the second round of the SEC Men’s basketball tournament. Fans can find coverage of the game via the SEC Network; tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
Mississippi State recorded several solid wins this season with victories over ranked Pitt, Memphis, Ole Miss (2X), and Texas A&M. At the same time, they have had their issues with ranked teams as well, losing to Alabama (2X), Florida, Tennessee, Auburn, Kentucky, and Missouri. The loss to Missouri wasn’t even close as the Tigers got out to a 45-31 lead at the break and cruised through the second half to an 88-61 victory. The Bulldogs were 6.5-point home favorites in that game but had no answer for Missouri’s three-point bombardment (15-32). The Bulldogs lost their last two regular-season games but crushed LSU in the first round.
However, while Missouri dominated Mississippi State when they played (Feb. 1), the Tigers are limping into the postseason after losing four of their last five games. They ended the regular season on a three-game losing streak that ended with a loss to No. 19 Kentucky, 91-83.

Our Missouri Tigers vs Mississippi State Bulldogs Prediction
Both teams are solid on the offensive end of the court and mediocre on the defensive end. While Missouri ended the season on a bad note with three losses, they scored 80+ points in all three games (and gave up 90+). Mississippi State scored 80+ points in their last three games, too. They did hold LSU’s offense in check, but LSU’s offense does not compare to Missouri’s.
Our Mississippi State vs Missouri Pick: OVER 156.5
