irill Kaprizov will lead the Minnesota Wild (15-9-5) into Seattle on Monday night to take on the Kraken (11-9-6).
Seattle is coming into this game having lost 5 straight games. In those losses, they struggled to score goals in most of them. In the one game they were able to get going offensively and scored 4 goals, they allowed a season high 9 goals. They have seemingly just found ways to lose recently and are desperate to break out of the skid.
Minnesota was on a tear to finish up November. They were on a 7-game winning streak before it was snapped in their final game of the month. Since then, they were able to bounce back in their 1st game of December, but then lost their next two and find themselves staring at a possible 3-game losing streak. Interestingly, the Wild have not won a game in which they have allowed 4 goals all season, and inversely, they have won every game in which they did not allow more than 3 goals.
The Kraken will do their best to put up 4 goals or more here against the Wild and snap their losing streak. But that will not be easy as the Wild will be focused on extending the Kraken's losing streak while avoiding falling victim to their own in the process.
