On Wednesday evening, the Loons will return home following their tie on the road in Houston at the weekend. At Allianz Field, they've got what can only be described as a big opportunity to resume winning ways as they take on a leaky and poor DC United team. The visitors may have regained the winning thread last time out, but that was at home. On the road, they've struggled massively this term, so don't be surprised if we see a home win here. I certainly won't be.

Therefore, betting on a Minnesota win nice and early offers some value for money. OK, yeah, they've lost a couple of home games of late, but they've lost (and only narrowly) to very good teams. On the road, this DC team is far from strong, let's be honest. The visitors really do struggle getting going on the road, while their recent defensive record is just not good enough. After conceding lots of goals away to likes of Orlando, NYRB and Montreal, Troy Lesesne's men are likely to struggle at Allianz Field, where the hosts can certainly hurt teams, scoring more goals on average than the visitors have on the road, conceding much less too.
