The Lakers have been excellent lately, bouncing back from their 7-point loss against the Nuggets to win two straight games. They started their five-game home stand with a 128-117 win against the Pacers before defeating the Knicks 110-97. The Lakers will next host the Bulls and the Nuggets as they try to climb higher in the standings.
The Timberwolves, meanwhile, have been outstanding in the conference, sitting in the third spot, 9.5 games behind the Thunder. However, that’s just a game ahead of the Lakers, setting up an intense clash on Tuesday. The Timberwolves will be looking to bounce back instantly from their 92-119 defeat against the Magic on Friday last week. Another loss could see the Lakers and the Rockets leapfrog them in the standings.
