The Milwaukee Brewers will be celebrating the Fourth of July by kicking off a three-game series in Miami vs. the Marlins at loanDepot Park. The First Pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. EST.
Milwaukee will try to get its current road trip back on track after losing two of three games to the Mets in New York. They got off to a solid start with a 7-2 in Game One Wednesday but lost 7-3 and 3-2 in the final two. Miami, on the other hand, won its midweek series vs. Minnesota, taking the first game 2-0 and yesterday’s game 4-1. They lost the Wednesday contest 2-1. Quinn Priester is scheduled to start for the Brewers. Priester is 6-2 in 15 appearances and 11 starts with a 3.35 ERA and 1.23 WHIP. He is 2-1 in road games (eight appearances, six starts); teams have hit .278 against him in road games. Miami will hand the ball to Sandy Alcantara to start the day. Alcantara has a 4-8 record in 16 starts with a 6.98 ERA. He has been better at home, though, where he is 3-4 in nine starts with a 5.03 ERA and .222 OBA.
