The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders will try to get back on the right side of the scoreboard this week when they travel to the First State to take on the Delaware Blue Hens. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. EST on Wednesday, Oct. 22, at Delaware Stadium in Newark, DE. Fans can see the game on ESPN2.

Middle Tennessee had a tough on right out of the gate, taking on Austin Peay at home and Wisconsin on the road, losing both, 34-14 and 42-10. They bounced back with a road win vs. the following weekend vs. Nevada, 14-13. But since then, they’ve had a hard time. losing three in a row: 42-28 vs. Marshall, 24-16 vs. Kennesaw State, and 22-20 vs. Missouri State. The results are not surprising as they have one of the worst run games in the country (No. 131, 82.8 yards per game). They are only scoring 17 points per game but they are allowing 29.5. As for Delaware, this is the first season as an FBS team for the Blue Hens. Nick Minicucci has done some solid work in the passing game, completing 64.4% of his passes for 300 yards per game on average. He is fresh off having a 422-yard day after completing 32 of 50 passes. However,  while they scored three touchdowns on the ground, they gained just 34 yards rushing on 22 carries.
