The Marlins and Rays face off in Tampa early Friday afternoon. Edward Cabrera is expected to start for the Rays and Kack Littell for the Rays. The odds for this game have been somewhat delayed by betting sites. However, the Rays, with a 32-29 record and coming off a series win over the Astros, a sweep of the Blue Jays, a win over the Twins, a split of a four-game series against the Astros again in Houston, and a series victory over the Rangers, are believed to be the natural favorites when they host the Marlins.

However, it wasn't until May 18, before the Rays began their hot streak, that the Marlins and Rays crossed paths in Miami, where the Marlins won the series 2 games to 1, although Cabrera didn't have the opportunity to face the Rays in that series.

Edward Cabrera is coming off two electrifying outings, one against the Angels in Anaheim, where he struck out 10 in 5.2 scoreless innings, and another against the Giants, where he pitched 5.2 scoreless innings again, this time striking out 5 in Miami.
