Mexico continue their World Cup preparations by taking on Serbia in a friendly in Toluca on Thursday night. 

Sunday night's narrow 1-0 victory over Australia means that Mexico have conceded just once in their last seven fixtures. There are still a few question marks over the co-host's attack, but the Mexican defence appears to be in fine working order and they have now conceded just once in their last seven games. 

Serbia slumped to a dismal 3-0 defeat against Cape Verde at the weekend, and having failed to qualify for the World Cup, Veljko Paunović's side are in urgent need of a change in fortunes ahead of Autumn's Nations League campaign. Defence has been the big issue for Serbia over the last 12 months; they have now gone eight games since they last kept a clean sheet.
