Mexico and Colombia meet in Baltimore on Saturday evening, in a friendly international which will be both sides' first match since the World Cup. 

The two teams both reached the last 16 at the Wrold Cup, before agonizingly losing epic contests. Colombia were beaten on penalties by Switzerland despite dominating the majority of their game in Vancouver. Meanwhile, Mexico failed to take advantage of playing against ten men for over half an hour as they were eliminated 3-2 by England at the Azteca.

Prior to that loss, it had been a hugely encouraging World Cup for co-hosts Mexico, as they cruised to four consecutive victories without conceding a goal. Colombia also excelled in the early stage of the tournament, picking up seven points in three games to top Group H, before edging out Ghana 1-0 in the last 32.
