The Boston Celtics and the Memphis Grizzlies are set to make their debut at the 2025 Summer League on Friday at Pavilion in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Celtics will parade a stacked roster for this year’s Summer League tourney in Las Vegas, bannered by Real Madrid wingman Hugo Gonzalez (28th overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft) and incoming second-year Baylor Scheierman (30th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft). Boston has also added former Kentucky Wildcats big man Amari Williams (46th overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, draft rights traded by the Magic), Max Shulga (57th overall in the 2025 NBA Draft, draft right traded by the Magic), and 3rd year veteran Jordal Walsh. The Celtics has tapped assistant coach Matt Reynolds to be the head coach of the Summer League team.
The Grizzlies also boast a loaded lineup for the Summer League. GG Jackson, who made in the All-Rookie second team in 2024, is set to make another Summer League appearance following an injury-riddled second year with the Grizzlies. Jackson will be getting plenty of help from the likes of Javon Small of Virginia (48th overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft), Jaylen Wells of Washington State (39th overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft) and former US NCAA champion Cam Spacer of UConn (53rd overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft). Tuomas Lisalo, who was hired as the head coach of the Grizzlies, will try to get his feet wet as early as July, serving as the team’s Summer League coach.
