McCartney Kessler of the United States will vie for her third WTA title as she goes up against Dayana Yastremska of Ukraine in the championship match of the 2025 Nottingham Open.
Kessler carried over her fine form into the semifinal, where she absolutely demolished Rebecca Sramkova of Slovakia 6-4, 6-2. With confidence still running high following her three-set win over defending champion Katie Boulter 6-3 3-6 6-4, Kessler held all her serves, winning 28 points on the first and 11 on the second. She also broke Sramkova 3 times to keep the Slovakian at bay throughout the match.
Yastremska punched her ticket to the final with a 6-4 6-4 win over Magda Linette of Poland. The Ukrainian dictated the flow of the match by winning 23 points off her first serves and 17 off her second, while breaking Linette 3 times. Yastremska has now won 6 of her last 7 matches, including 4 victories on grass.
