Day 2 of the 2025 Internationaux de Strasbourg will kick off with an All-American showdown between McCartney Kessler and Ashlyn Krueger on Monday.
Kessler punched her ticket into the main draw of Strasbourg International after posting two gutsy wins over Jodie Anne Burrage of Great Britain 6-4 5-7 6-2 and Renata Zarazua of Mexico 7-6(3) 6-3. Kessler is 4-4 on clay this season, losing in the first round of the WTA 1000 events in Madrid and Rome.
Krueger also entered the competition in Strasbourg with a losing record (2-3), bowing in the first round of the 2025 Madrid Open and the second round of the 2025 Italian Open. The American is 17-12 in the 2025 WTA Season with a 15-8 record against the WTA top-100.
