Newcastle will be looking to continue their excellent Champions League form when they visit struggling Marseille on Tuesday night.
The Magpies have underperformed somewhat domestically this season, but their displays in Europe have been significantly more impressive. Their comfortable 2-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao last time out was their third success in a row, raising hopes that Eddie Howe's men can maintain their current top eight position in the league standings and secure an automatic place in the last 16.
Marseille have lost three of their opening four Champions League games, but in truth, they have been unlucky in all of their defeats. Last time out, a contentious late winner from Atalanta consigned them to defeat, whilst an early red card cost them dearly at Sporting Lisbon, and a harshly awarded late penalty saw them fall to a 2-1 loss at Real Madrid in their opening game.
