The top two teams in the Big East are scheduled to face off Tuesday, the No. 11 Marquette Golden Eagles and the No. 12 St. John’s Red Storm. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET at Madison Square Garden in New York City, NY.
Marquette will be looking for a bit of redemption after dropping their second conference game of the season over the weekend to No. 25 UConn, 77-69. The Huskies shot an incredible 59.5% from the floor and 63.2% from three-point range. The Golden Eagles, in turn, shot just 39.7% from the floor and 3.8% from three-point range. UConn recorded 25 turnovers on the day, but Marquette didn’t take advantage of them. As for St. John’s, the Red Storm have yet to lose a game in 2025 (the last loss was on New Year’s Eve, 57-56 to Creighton). They nearly gave away their last game on Feb. 1 against Providence. Midway through the second half they had a 19-point lead on the Friars, but let it slip away. Providence tied the game up at 66-66 with 33 seconds left, but Kadary Richmond secured the win with a jumper with just 3 seconds left.

These guys are the top two defenses in the Big East, which has me leaning toward taking the UNDER rather than trying to pick a winner.
