On Saturday night, UFC Vancouver will see Marlon Vera (23-10-1) and Aiemann Zahabi (13-2-0) clash in the Bantamweight division. Marlaon “Chito” Vera will be making his appearance for over a year in this Top 10 clash. The 32-year-old Vera lost his title fight against Sean O’Malley via decision at UFC 299. He recorded another decision loss in his comeback fight against Figueiredo in August 2024. The UFC veteran will be eager to regroup and win against Zahabi.
Aiemann Zahabi, on the other hand, has been impressive since joining the UFC in February 2017. The 37-year-old Canadian has shown he still has much fight left in him, winning his last six back-to-back fights. Zahabi has stepped inside the Octagon just once this year, against Jose Aldo at UFC 315, winning via decision in the third round. He will eye another big win in his colorful career and position himself in the title picture.

Zahabi is the -136 betting favorite. The Canadian, who is the brother of the iconic coach Firas Zahabi, knows that time isn’t on his side. He started his UFC career late and will be clocking 38 later this year. Zahabi is a pretty decent striker for his age, averaging 4.42 significant strikes per minute with a 46% success rate. However, he must choose his steps wisely against the experienced and dangerous Vera. The Ecuadorian has recorded eight KO/TKO wins and 10 submission victories in his UFC career. He’s infamously a slow starter, although he has what it takes to weather the early storm from Zahabi. We think Zahabi will clinch another decision win on Saturday.
