The main event for this weekend's UFC Fight Night will pit Gabriel Bonfim (18-1-0) vs Randy Brown (20-6-0) in a welterweight clash. Bonfim is currently ranked inside the Top 15 of welterweights and is the favorite in this fight. Bonfim has a more rounded style while Brown is more of a striker. Bonfim had been on a tear of submission victories dating back to 2019. He had submitted 7 of his 10 opponents during a 10-fight stretch. He is now riding a 3-fight win streak with wins over Ange Loose, Khaos Williams, and most recently scored a split decision victory over Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson. While the KO by Randy Brown against Nicolas Dalby was uber impressive and a highlight for his career, this matchup with Bonfim is going to a different type of fight. Bonfim is not likely to stand and trade strikes with Brown but will focus more on movement and trying to get this fight to the ground where he should have a distinct advantage. We expect Bonfim to control this fight and either grapple in the stand up or use black belt in BJJ to get this one to the ground.
