Having the most shots on target on average per game, with 11.5, didn't necessarily translate into victory for Manchester United. Amorim's Red Devils have already lost three times in this Premier League season, and at Old Trafford on Saturday they host a team that has gone from shocking result to shocking result: Sunderland. The newly promoted team pulled off an unexpected victory at City Ground against Nottingham Forest, incredibly moving them to 5th in the Premier League table.
The Black Cats started the season as clear favorites in the betting to be relegated, but after an excellent start, where, among other things, they have displayed a rock-solid defense, Sunderland are extremely far from the relegation places. Against Nottingham, they won with a goal from Paraguayan defender Omar Alderete, who had an excellent performance and form, but the best player on the pitch, without a doubt, was the young Dutch goalkeeper Robin Roefs, who made six saves to claim all three points against the Tricky Trees.
Manchester United, on the other hand, is coming off a loss to Brentford in London. Sesko scored the Red Devils' penalty, and Bruno Fernández missed a penalty that would have tied the game. At least, Manchester United played a decisive game the last time they played at Old Trafford, winning 2-1 with goals from Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro; they also beat Burnley 3-2 at home via a 97th-minute penalty.

Our Manchester United vs Sunderland Prediction
The Black Cats haven't had possession in their last three matches; this will almost certainly be the case again on Saturday when they face Manchester United.
The last two Sunderland-Manchester United matches were in 2016 and 2017; on both occasions, the Red Devils won by three goals, and the Red Devils clearly dominated the Black Cats in their clash in Manchester.
United will return to play for Casemiro, who missed the Brentford game due to the red card he received against Chelsea. Amorim will also have Diallo, who missed the last game due to family matters, available. Malacia has returned from Dutch football, returning after his loan at PSV ended.
Our prediction for Manchester United vs Sunderland is: Manchester United -1.
