Early on Monday morning, at least for those viewing stateside, there's a very interesting match due to take place at Rod Laver Arena. For the first time in her career, Maddison Inglis has made the fourth round of a Grand Slam, and she's done it at her home slam, making this an extra special occasion for the 28-year-old Aussie, who comes into this match courtesy of Naomi Osaka's withdrawal.
Facing Inglis is world number two and multiple Grand Slam winner Iga Swiatek, who usually makes light work of winning matches of this nature. We didn't quite see Swiatek at her best during the previous round, but she got the job done, while she has secured two straight-set wins in Melbourne, so she's certainly not out of form. This is a massive opportunity for the Pole to take one step closer to winning the Australian Open for the first time, previously reaching the semis in both 2022 and 2025.

Our Maddison Inglis vs Iga Swiatek Prediction
Maddison Inglis has done superbly to make it this far, reaching the fourth round of a Grand Slam for the first time in her career, but let's be real, this is the end of the road for the 28-year-old. I hate to speak in absolutes, but Iga Swiatek should quite simply make light work of getting the job done here, so much so that she's worth betting on to win by an eight-game margin.
When the pair previously met on a hard surface, Swiatek won 6-1, 6-3 and the world number two really ought to record something similar this time around. Inglis is not used to playing the very best and she hasn't done so for a long time, so do not be surprised if she's overwhelmed.
Our Maddison Inglis vs Iga Swiatek Pick: Iga Swiatek -7.5 Game Handicap.
