North Carolina State will try to avenge an early-season loss to LSU when they face the Tigers in the Sweet 16 on Friday, March 28, at 7:30 p.m. EST. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
Neither team has been tested yet during the Tournament. LSU faced off with San Diego State in the first round, easily winning 103-48. Florida State put up more of a fight in the second round. The Tigers led by one at the half, 50-49, but then their defense locked down the Seminoles in the second half en route to a 100-79 win. North Carolina State got off to a slow start but took down Vermont 75-55 in the first round. They had it much easier in the second round, getting out to a 47-23 lead in the first half and going on to win 83-49.
LSU and North Carolina met earlier in the season in the Baha Mar Pink Flamingo Championship. Mikaylah Williams led the way with 24 points as LSU won with ease, 82-65. Aneesah Morrow chipped in 20, and Flau'Jae Johnson had 16. Saniya Rivers led NC State with 21 points.

Our NC State Wolfpack vs LSU Tigers Prediction
LSU easily won the early-season game vs. NC State, but the Wolfpack have come a long way since then. Both teams like to play fast and run up the score; neither is bad on the defensive end, but I wouldn’t call them good, either, as they both allow around 65 points per game. I don’t think this game will be close enough for the spread to matter. I’d lean towards LSU winning, but I see the total as the better bet.
Our LSU vs. NC State Pick: OVER 153.5
