The No. 25 Louisville Cardinals will try to end the season on a high note when they take on the No. 3 Notre Dame Fighting Irish today at the Purcell Pavilion in South Bend, IN. This battle between two top 25 teams is scheduled to get underway at 12 pm ET with coverage via ESPN.
Notre Dame has established itself as one of the top teams in the country already, but the Fighting Irish are still desperately in need of a win. After winning 19 in a row, the streak came to an end against No. 13 North Carolina State in a riveting 104-95 2OT loss. But rather than get back on track against No. 24 Florida State on Thursday, they dropped another game, losing 86-81. Hannah Hidalgo had an uncharacteristically off night, shooting just 4-18 from the floor; she recorded 34 vs. the Cardinals when they played on Feb. 2.
As for Louisville, the Cardinals have played some good basketball since losing to Notre Dame on Feb.2. They won five of six games since then, including three over ranked teams (No. 23 Florida State, No. 21 California, and No. 11 Duke). The one loss was against No. 9 North Carolina at home, 79-75.

I want to say Notre Dame will win this one and that they'll win it by 17+ points and cover the spread. But it may be asking a bit much to ask a team whose defense has been struggling to cover a 16.5-point spread. However, that does not mean they will not. I'd expect Notre Dame to get it together for the last regular season game. The Fighting Irish did beat Louisville by 18 points a few weeks ago. But after watching Notre Dame give up 190 total points in their last two games, I feel like betting on the total is the way to go.
