The Los Angeles Rams play the Tennessee Titans on Sunday following a dismal opening. They began the season by losing 20–12, and the contest was a microcosm of how they are today. The defense had the offense of the Texans bottled up, and the passing offense was able to make the necessary big plays. It was not a day of explosive offense by any account, but it didn't have to be.

The team was a product resembling a well-oiled, disciplined outfit and prime-time ready. For a team attempting a return in the NFC's contention mix, the type of performance capable of generating belief in a very short space of time is required.
